
Hull Bulk Handling is a bulk stevedoring company based on a 40 acre site adjacent to Queen Elizabeth Dock in the Port of Hull . Handling vessels up to 34,000 tonnes the Terminal has re-loading facilities available for road, rail, barge and coaster, along with cranes, conveyors, washing and screening plant. The total investment in plant, buildings and infrastructure is around £10 million.
Hull Bulk Handling is operated on a 24 hour per day, seven days per week basis, and offers a throughput capacity of up to 3 million tonnes per annum. The stock ground is capable of storing up to half a million tonnes at any time. The largest single contract is to handle 750,000 tonnes per annum of coal.
The company is a 100% subsidiary of Fernwood Group Limited, a private company owned by its directors. Since its formation in 1983 the company has been a successful and well-respected major player in the
